Open timber deck with rings and bars under a wooden roof, the glass studio behind it and the New Danube in afternoon light.

Movement Social Hub is a planned place for movement culture, bodywork and community at Pier 22 on the New Danube in Vienna. We are building it now and looking for the first hundred members to carry it with us.

Reserve a founding place

Design status September 2026. Site under negotiation.

The heart of the school

A school at its core. An open place around it.

Not a café with a school, but a school with a café. Movement Social Hub is built from two rings, and each needs the other.

Outer ring

The front door

1-hour classes

  • Strength, mobility, handstand
  • Café and social space
  • Cold plunge and recovery
  • Drop in, no commitment
  • Open and low-pressure
  • Part of everyday life

Purpose

  • Welcome people in
  • Carry the house
  • Bring daily life into the place
open · accessible · carries the house

Inner ring

The school

2-hour deep practice

  • Structured education
  • Cycles and progression
  • Entry after a conversation
  • High integrity
  • A philosophy of movement
  • Long-term commitment

Purpose

  • Develop real practitioners
  • Depth and quality
  • A culture that lasts

The outer ring funds the inner ring. The outer ring finds the right people. The inner ring keeps the integrity.

This is not a compromise. This is the model.

From the outside
A vibrant place by the water.
From the inside
A serious movement school.

People come for movement and stay for transformation.

Where the project stands

The design is finished; the site is not. Talks about Pier 22 are ongoing with the site's management. The images and 3D worlds on this page show the planning status, not a building permit. What matters now are the first people who want to be part of it: with a hundred founding members we cover the running costs of the house and can build.

Three spaces under one roof

Rings and bars on the covered timber deck in front of the curved glass studio.
In the large concept: a 120 m² class floor in the studio, a 96 m² calisthenics deck with a cold plunge, and a 120 m² course deck with a sliding roof.

Deck and studio

An open timber deck under a weather roof, with rings, ropes and bars. Behind it the studio with 120 m² of clear floor and a glass front facing the water. No machines: room for partner work, hanging, play and floor work.

Two treatment tables in the bodywork room with a linen curtain and timber details.
Two treatment tables, a curtain for privacy, its own outside entrance and a door into the studio.

Bodywork

Bodywork in the Ilan Lev Method: gentle, rhythmic movement on the treatment table, fully clothed, without force. The room is deliberately calmer than the rest of the house: timber, linen, plants, indirect light and windows that open towards the water.

Café with a counter, benches facing the water and an open connection to the studio.
24 seats inside, a terrace facing the water. The café will be run by a restaurateur we are still looking for.

Café

The café belongs to the house and has its own entrance: for members after training, for neighbours and passers-by all year round. A glass wall to the studio opens up or closes for quiet hours.

A hundred founding places

The first hundred members carry the house through the building phase. In return they get a membership that will not exist in this form later.

All 100 places are still open.

A hundred places shown as mats on the deck. Taken places are filled in.

What is included

  • All movement classes, the open deck and the studio
  • Community sessions and workshops run by the hub
  • Bodywork sessions at the member rate
  • A monthly fee that is fixed once the site is secured and never rises for you

Classes by external teachers who rent space from us are their own offer and not part of the membership.

How it works

Reserving is free and does not commit you to anything. As soon as the site is secured, you will be the first to receive the founding fee and all conditions. Only then do you decide.

We will set the fee once rent and operating costs for the site are known. It will stay permanently below the regular rate.

Reserve a place

Your name, your email and a sentence about how you move today. That is all we need.

A short form that takes about a minute.

Compact version, 500 m²Explore the 500 m² version

Walk through the house before it stands.

Two walkable 3D worlds show the design: the large concept with studio, café, bodywork and two outdoor decks, and a compact version on 500 m² of operating area. Both are planning stages, not construction drawings.

On a computer with mouse and keyboard, on a phone with the joystick.

Space for teachers and a restaurateur

For teachers

Yoga, Pilates, dance, breathwork: if you teach your own classes, you can rent the studio and the deck by the hour. We will set the conditions once the site is confirmed.

  • 120 m² studio with timber floor and glass front
  • Outdoor deck by the water
  • Changing rooms, storage and a café in the house

The café is planned as an independent business. We are looking for a restaurateur to lease the space and develop it with us.
